Porridge Radio have been doing their utmost to stay productive over lockdown, from writing original Christmas songs to selling off customised artworks. Following last year's collaboration with Chicago musician Lala Lala (see List Pick for 'Good For You' here), principle songwriter Dana Margolin has paired up with the criminally underrated Belfast-born songwriter Piglet (aka Charlie Loane) for 2 new tracks. Having been fans of both Porridge Radio and Piglet's other band (formerly known as Great Dad) for a long time, 'Let's Not Fight !' is a joint effort we've been dying to hear. Set over metallic hi-hats that mimic the ticking second hand on a clock face, janky guitars twang on the offbeat, as Loane's emotive vocals exude authenticity. Promoting an overarching message of peace and positivity, 'Let's Not Fight !' calls for a resolution to unwanted darkness and ill-feeling.
